Name mismatch
Compare names, fathers' names and other identity details on the nikah nama and CNICs. Ask the Union Council if its record needs correction, or ask the MRC office how it handles a discrepancy in an already registered record. Repeating the same application may not resolve it.
Old or unregistered nikah
An old nikah never entered in the Union Council record is different from a delayed MRC collection. Take the original nikah nama, if available, to the relevant Union Council for review. - The original Nikah Nama and Marriage Registration Certificate.
- The foreign spouse's passport.
- The foreign spouse's Pakistan visa.
- The date the foreign spouse entered Pakistan.
These documents are for MOFA attestation, not a universal NADRA application. Check the current requirements with MOFA and the receiving authority.
